‘Shift vitality packs’ – doing the rounds in hard-working wards
Wanting to thank the people who make Auckland DHB tick, our team was out ‘n’ about in August delivering ‘shift vitality packs’ to staff.
Trying to reach the DHB’s 11,000-strong staff, we packed hundreds of boxes, filling them with tea, coffee, healthy treats, beauty products, pens – and, of course, plenty of information about ourselves!
Everything within the packs was kindly donated by generous companies: Adina Apartment Hotels (Britomart), Vivo Hair & Beauty, La Porchetta, EcoStore, OfficeMax, Tasti and Unichem Greenlane Pharmacy.
With our team hand-delivering the packs and thanking DHB teams for the amazing job they do every day, the packs were warmly received, as was the quiz that gave staff the chance to win awesome prizes. The quizzes are proving a huge hit, and we look forward to meeting all the winners when they’re drawn in September. Watch this space!
One of our four fundraising priorities is to support the training and education of both medical and non-medical staff at Auckland DHB, which will ultimately enable them to deliver even better care for their patients. We see every day the immense gratitude, trust, comfort and relief people feel in their care.
Thanks to our supporters, we will work together with DHB staff to ensure the future of healthcare in Auckland is world-class and provides greater positive health outcomes for everyone.
